VISCERA! is the second project by Chicago-based, post-grunge indie duo ORISUN. The full-length piece is a group of sonic spells expressing the horror of embodiment in an environment of ruin and oppression. VISCERA! explores the vacillation between and around existential grief and euphoria, examining subjects such as gender dysphoria, emotional abuse and systemic/oppressive power structures. ORISUN informs this project with their experiences as Black queer/trans people, attempting to gain spiritual clarity in a world on fire.
